Deceased Name: MINNIE (GOLDSTEIN) COHEN Minnie (Goldstein) Cohen, 86, of Wausau, Wis., formerly of
Duluth, died Friday, Sept. 26, 1997, in Comfort Care and Hospice Services at
Wausau Hospital. She was born Jan. 10, 1911, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada,
to the late Gruna and Mordechai Goldstein. She married Peter H. Cohen, of
Duluth, on May 30, 1937. Minnie was a life member of Hadassah, painted ceramics and
was an avid reader. She was always faithful to her Jewish heritage and had
volunteered in many synagogue activities. She always found happiness in her
life as a homemaker. Minnie's positive attitude toward life was a great
inspiration to all who met her. She will be missed by her family and many
friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband,
Peter; a sister, Sara Bruzonsky; and two brothers, Harry Goldstein and Al
Goldstein. She is survived by two sons, Robert Cohen of Golden,
Colo., and Sydney (Lois) Cohen of Wausau; a daughter, Elaine (Bob) Kane of
Fortuna, Calif.; a grandson, David Cohen of Wausau; two brothers, Dave
(Betty) Goldstein of Winnipeg, Manitoba, and Joe Goldstein of Laguna Hills,
Calif.; and brothers-in-law, Gordon Cohen of Duluth, and Irvin Colt of
Stanton, Calif. Graveside services: 3 p.m. today in Adas Israel Cemetery.
